Star Wars Publishing

This week, Disney rolled out its publishing tie-in plan for the bicoastal opening of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland Anaheim and Walt Disney World Orlando.  Headlining the list the coming September is Deliah S. Dawson's Star Wars Galaxy's Edge: Black Spire, and also includes a couple of young-reader novels.  I'm loving the interactive story nature of the theme park plans...anyone who's got any ideas around how Happy Beeps can score some early bird park tickets, contact us here!!

Out this week are two new comics...The Escape comes to its conclusion in Star Wars 61, and Jody Houser's Age of Republic continues with a one-shot featuring Anakin Skywalker.  Earlier in January we saw two self-published books which Happy Beeps heartily recommends:  Using the Force - Star Wars and Catholicism and The Star Wars Reference Book for Rare Items.

2019 isn't just about Episode IX and Galaxy's Edge...it's also the 20th anniversary of the launch of the awesome Star Wars Lego license!  To celebrate, we're getting all kinds of great new sets, including the ones I'm most excited about - the Duel at Starkiller Base and Major Vonreg's TIE Fighter from Star Wars Resistance, along with all new Action Battle sets for Echo Base and the Battle of Endor!  Still no word on what 2019's Ultimate Collector's Set is going to be, but stay tuned to Happy Beeps to find out!

This week we also found out the release info for the latest waves of the 6-inch Black Series action figures, including some of my favorites, Mace Windu and Padme Amidala.  And finally, we learned what's on the way for the Vintage Collection, including awesome renderings of Princess Leia (Boushh) and Klaatu (Skiff Guard).
