I don't know about you, but in my head canon for The Empire Strikes Back, R2-D2 may have saved the day by fixing the Falcon's hyperdrive...but the rebels' escape must have had something to do with the long-awaited reunion of Lando Calrissian and the soul of L3-37, amirite???
If not for Yoda, Lando Calrissian would rank as the single greatest new character in Star Wars introduced between 1980 and the moment we first met Rey on Jakku in 2015. While he may not get as much toy production as our other favorite heroes and villains (he happens to rank just below Kylo Ren and Padme Amidala), his combination of bravery and style knows no equal.
